Calaveras de Azúcar (Sugar skulls) are traditional Mexican decorative candies prepared for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). They are traditionally made of sugar, chocolate or amaranth, and are to commemorate loved ones who have passed away.
Participants will be given a ceramic (bisque) skull to paint and decorate. All supplies will be provided, including paints and brushes. In addition, bookshop owner Danise will talk about the customs and traditions of Dia de los Muertos.
No experience required. Adults and children over 5 years are welcome. A paying adult must accompany all children age 12 and under.
