Our names are Danise and Ed Mueller, and we wanted to tell you a little bit about ourselves. We are estate liquidators, and over the years we have gathered many unique and elegant items, including furniture, art, many special finds—and of course; books. We have sold our items online for several years, but until now we have not had a brick-and-mortar retail presence.

 

It has been our dream to have a special place with our items for sale, where people could come and browse without any pressure, and just hang out or meet friends. Additionally spurred by today’s world, we sincerely desired to create this place to offer kindness, acceptance, and peace. At the risk of sounding cliché, it is completely accurate however, as well as deeply comforts us to feel we are making our small difference and contribution to fully support this in the world.

 

After years of planning, we made our dream come true and found the perfect brick and mortar location in fall of 2025 — 5050 Commerce Blvd, Rohnert Park, California.

 

We were initially planning our new space to be a high-end furniture and art gallery, but very quickly realized this plan was missing heart. It was not what we truly wanted. Books were our true love, and more specifically, how books in general affect, relax, and comfort others. This—combined with a very friendly and comfortable environment to enjoy them in and even purchase a few if desired—was precisely what we desired. Books for every readers’ preference, which so effectively provide the heart, knowledge, joy, entertainment, soul, reflection, and understanding so many of us seek.

 

We have collected thousands of books of all kinds over the years in our estate-liquidation business, and warehoused them for when the time came where we could attain our dream. We continue to acquire several books each day. When we acquired our new retail location, the vision of our dream place came together very quickly. We have put together a wonderful space
with over 3000 sq ft of books, artwork, art supplies, vintage postcards, and hand picked furniture; all arranged into pleasant “reading nooks” and small meeting spaces.

 

Although we are primarily a bookstore, there is also a notable presence of many other interesting items integrated “between the books” that we offer for sale, which provide a brief insight of the best of the best items we acquire in our fine estate purchases.

 

We are now fully open for business, and although still expanding and filling the shelves, we are very grateful and excited to offer our place to our community; a place that nurtures kindness, understanding, acceptance and peace.
